Easter Egg Oreos are making an early comeback, and this time, they’re color pink.
Oreo has confirmed to several news outlets that its new rose-colored Easter sandwich cookie will be available starting February, roughly a month before the start of the spring.
First teased by snack reviewer @threesnackateers on Instagram earlier this month, the new Easter Egg Oreos are basically pink, egg-shaped Golden Oreo cookies with the original white crème filling. “No fancy flavors here. Just cute little pink Golden Oreos Easter eggs,” read a portion of @threesnackateers’s post.
According to the snack’s bright packaging, there will also be five different cookie designs in each package.
As Oreo fans know, this isn’t the first time the brand has released an Easter-themed cookie. Last year, it introduced its first version of Easter Egg Oreos, which were essentially chocolate sandwich cookies with purple-colored crème filling. While Popsugar and The Daily Meal reported that the first variant of the Easter Egg Oreos didn’t actually taste any different from the classic Oreos, a few members of the taste test team at GateHouse Media Ohio said that the purple filling seemed thinner, softer, flavorful, and tangier than the original.
Also, back in 2017, Peeps Oreos debuted. The Easter-themed treat was made up of two Golden Oreo cookies sandwiching a bright pink marshmallow Peeps-flavored crème covered in sugar.
The news about the release of pink Easter Egg Oreos came just a week after the brand launched Chocolate Marshmallow Oreos and Caramel Coconut Oreos.
