Signify has unveiled the new Philips Hue Filament collection, a range of Smart LED lights that brings vintage lighting to a home. The lightbulbs, which are based on incandescent Edison-style bulbs, offer 530 lumens of light and come with wireless dimming technology.

There are three products being added to the collection; the A19 and ST19 lightbulbs and the G25 globe, each of which come in a different size and design. Speaking about the products, Jasper
Vervoort, the Business Leader of Home Systems & Luminaires in Philips Hue at Signify highlighted the variety of features the Signify Philips Hue Filament have, such as away from home controls and third-party app compatibility. Veroort said:

“Our new Philips Hue Filament bulbs combine modern technology with vintage design. You can instantly recreate the feel of your favorite bistro or simply add visual style to your room. It’s simple to control and personalize your lighting with just a tap of your smartphone or with a voice command.”

Each of the lights can be controlled with the Philips Hue Bluetooth app, as well as the Zigbee-based Philips Hue Bridge. Signify has noted that the lightbulbs will also be compatible with a variety of voice-enabled third-party apps, although it’s unclear as to which ones these may be.
