Looking for some smart Christmas tree lights to add to your smart home setup during the holidays? Signify has unveiled the Philips Hue Festavia string lights for folks who want to create a unique lighting experience during the holiday season – that they can easily control.
According to Signify, the Philips Hue Festavia string lights create a cozy ambiance using 250 mini smart LEDs on a 20-meter cord whose length gives users the flexibility to decorate their space or Christmas tree in any way they’d like.
Like the other smart lights that are part of the Philips Hue family, the flexibility of the Philips Hue Festavia offers an assortment of lighting controls and features. To that effect, these smart Christmas lights offer in-app controls which is one of Festavia’s string lights’ advantages over traditional Christmas tree lighting.
Within the Hue app, users can turn the Christmas string lights on/off, dim or brighten the lights, control the color of the lights, set timers and schedules, create a gradient effect by choosing multiple colors, and even sync the string lights with music on Spotify and Samsung SmartThings to create unique lighting effects.
Signify also announced that the Hue app has been updated with new features like the “Sparkle effect”, which creates a festive ambiance by making the 250 LEDs twinkle, and “Scattered”, which applies various colors along the string for a festive effect. These new features come in addition to existing features like the “Candle” and “Fireplace” effects.
