McDonald’s frappes have just gotten better!
The fast-food giant has added two new limited-time items to its frappe lineup: the Salted Butter Caramel Frappe and the Godiva Chocolate Frappe. Unlike the chain’s previously released frappe flavors, both new iced beverages can be ordered with a macaron on top.
According to Brand Eating, McDonald’s Salted Butter Caramel Frappe features
“a base of caramel paste, rock salt from Lorraine, and fermented butter” blended into a frappe and topped with whipped cream, caramel sauce, peanuts, and a vanilla macaron.
McDonald’s Godiva Chocolate Frappe, on the other hand, is made with Belgian chocolate and comes topped with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, chocolate shavings, and a chocolate macaron.

McDonald’s Salty Butter Caramel Frappe and Godiva Chocolate Frappe are only available at McDonald’s locations in Japan. A medium size of Salty Butter Caramel Frappe costs 520 JPY (3.84 USD), but when ordered with a macaron, it costs 640 JPY (4.72 USD). Meanwhile, a medium size of Godiva Chocolate Frappe costs 550 JPY (4.06 USD); it costs 670 JPY (4.94 USD) when ordered with a macaron.

In addition to the Salty Butter Caramel Frappe and the Godiva Chocolate Frappe, McDonald’s Japan frappe lineup also includes Choco Frappe with Oreo Cookie, Uji Matcha Frappe, Choco Frappe, and Espresso Frappe.

While the Salty Butter Caramel Frappe and the Godiva Chocolate Frappe are not yet available in the U.S., McDonald’s frappes in America currently come in two regular flavors: caramel and mocha. But in true McDonald’s fashion, McDonald’s USA occasionally releases limited-edition variations like the Oreo Frappe, which included bits and pieces of real Oreo cookies, and 2012’s Chocolate Chip Frappe, which combined mocha and caramel flavors, as well as chocolate chips.
