Marvel’s Runaways has been canceled at Hulu.

The Disney-owned streaming service announced on Monday that the upcoming Season 3 of the superhero young adult series will be its last. Though a lot of fans didn’t see the show’s cancellation coming, Deadline reported that Runaways — developed by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name — would not end abruptly without closure.

Hulu broke the cancellation news with a new trailer for the show’s swan song, which you can watch below:

Season 3 will open with the Runaways looking for their captured friends Chase (Gregg Sulkin), Gertude (Ariela Barer), and Karolina (Virginia Gardner). They will also face off with a powerful enemy who is after the child Leslie (Annie Wersching) is carrying. Lastly, Nico (Lyrica Okano) will draw them all into a dark realm, where they will go head-to-head with its nefarious ruler Morgan le Fay (Elizabeth Hurley).

Marvel’s Runaways also stars Rhenzy Feliz, Allegra Acosta, Angel Parker, Ryan Sands, Kip Pardue, Ever Carradine, James Marsters, Brigid Brannagh, Kevin Weisman, Brittany Ishibashi, James Yaegashi, and Julian McMahon.

With Runaways coming to an end, the only remaining Marvel-produced series on Hulu are the upcoming live-action series Helstrom and the slate of four connected animated series — Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K, Marvel’s Hit-Monkey, Marvel’s Tigra & Dazzler Show and Marvel’s Howard the Duck — that will culminate in a special event called Marvel’s The Offenders.

The 10-episode third and final season of Marvel’s Runaways will premiere on Hulu on December 13th.
