Today, Lenovo is announcing a handful of new additions to their ThinkPad lineup which spans across the company’s different ThinkPad lines. For the T-series, they’re adding the ThinkPad T14, ThinkPad T14s, and the ThinkPad T15, while the X-series is getting the new ThinkPad X13 and ThinkPad X13 Yoga. Lastly, Lenovo is also adding four new laptops to their L-series, namely the ThinkPad L14, ThinkPad L15, ThinkPad L13, and ThinkPad L13 Yoga. And, of course, all the laptops have undergone the rigorous Mil-Spec testing the ThinkPad line has long been known for.
ThinkPad T14 and ThinkPad T14s
Starting with the most successful ThinkPad series ever, Lenovo’s T-series, the new ThinkPad T14 and ThinkPad T14s can be configured to use either 10th Gen Intel Core vPro processors or AMD Ryzen PRO 4000 mobile processors. The ThinkPad T14 can be configured with up to 48GB of RAM while the ThinkPad T14s can go up to 32GB, both also offer up to a 2TB SSD. The ThinkPad T14 offers a more sophisticated graphics option with the Nvidia GeForce MX330. The ThinkPad T14s, on the other hand, houses Intel integrated graphics. Both the ThinkPad T14 and ThinkPad T14s carry Lenovo’s latest features which include Modern Standby and Wake on Voice, as well as an abundance of security features including a ThinkShutter privacy webcam, and PrivacyGuard.
ThinkPad T15
The ThinkPad T15 is the larger option for the T-series line. This 15-inch laptop also offers a choice between 4K IPS or FHD IPS Touch for its display. It’s powered by a 10th Gen Intel Core processor which can be customized with the latest i7 vPro processor and it’s coupled with an Nvidia GeForce M330 graphics card. It carries similar specs to the other models having a maximum storage capacity of up to 2TB SSD, RAM of up to 48GB, Dolby speakers, an IR camera, ThinkShutter, PrivacyGuard, Modern Standby, and Wake on Voice.
ThinkPad X13 Yoga and ThinkPad X13
Lenovo’s X-series aims to mimic the powerhouse specs of the T-series but offers it in a more portable package for workers on-the-go. The two new models, ThinkPad X13 Yoga and ThinkPad X13, house 13.3-inch displays which can be configured to include Lenovo’s PrivacyGuard ePrivacy display with PrivacyAlert. With this feature, users can protect their work and information from over-the-shoulder spectators even in the most crowded of places. Additionally, both also offer options for FHD IPS touch with the ThinkPad X13 Yoga also offering the more premium 4K OLED display.
Internally, both variants are powered by 10th Gen Intel Core processors, with the ThinkPad X13 offering an option for the AMD Ryzen PRO Mobile processor. The ThinkPad X13 Yoga has an Intel integrated graphics card on-board, up to 16GB of RSM, and a max storage capacity of up to a 2TB SSD. The X13 similarly also houses an Intel integrated graphics card and storage capacity of up to TB. It, however, offers a higher RAM option of up to 32GB. Both models offer Modern Standby, Wake on Voice, an IR Camera, and ThinkShutter.
Lenovo ThinkPad L14 and ThinkPad L15
Finally, Lenovo has four new additions to the L-series, a line of laptops made for cost-conscious business users looking for great performance and reliability. These new laptops have also been redesigned to be thinner and lighter than the rest. All of the new laptops in the L-series carry WIFI 6 with an option for CAT 9 WWAN to provide an even faster and more secure connection. The ThinkPad L14 and ThinkPad L15 in particular, have keyboards that have been fitted with new rapid-access unified communications functions keys that make it easy to join or leave meetings. Additionally, the ThinkPad L14 and ThinkPad L15 offer a choice between 10th Gen Intel Core vPro processors or AMD Ryzen PRO 4000 mobile processors. The ThinkPad L14 and ThinkPad L15 feature a customizable FHD IPS touch display set at 14 and 15-inches respectively. Both variants come equipped with Intel integrated graphics coupled with up to 32GB of RAM and a storage capacity of up to 2TB HDD or a 1TB SSD.
Lenovo ThinkPad L13 and ThinkPad L13 Yoga
For an even more portable option, Lenovo has introduced the L13 and L13 Yoga. These models are equipped with a 13.3-inch FHD IPS touch display or a Narrow Bezel display. Internally, the ThinkPad L13 and ThinkPad L13 Yoga are equipped with 10th Gen Intel Core vPro processors, Intel integrated graphics, up to 16GB of RAM, and storage capacity of up to 1TB SSD.
Pricing and availability
The ThinkPad T14 is expected to have a base price of $849, the ThinkPad T14s at $1029, and the ThinkPad T15 at $1079. For the X-series laptops, The ThinkPad X13 is expected to have a base price of $849 and the ThinkPad X13 Yoga at $1099. Lastly, the ThinkPad L13 will have an expected base price of $679, the ThinkPad L13 Yoga at $799, and the ThinkPad L14 and ThinkPad L15 having the cheapest price tag of $649. All laptops are expected to release sometime in the second quarter of this year.
