Lenovo has taken two of their most popular ThinkPads, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon and X1 Yoga and has revamped them for 2019.
ThinkPad X1 Carbon (7th gen, 2019)
Starting with the ThinkPad X1 Carbon, they have redesigned the X1 Carbon with an option that features a new woven carbon fiber finish. The laptop is even thinner than the previous generation model, measuring just 14.95mm. When it comes to heft, it weighs just under 2.5lbs.
The X1 Carbon now comes with bright and colorful display options with Dolby Vision and HDR400 certification. You can choose from a 400 nit FHD display or a 500 nit 4K display. There’s also a new RGB / IR camera with a dedicated privacy shutter.
The system has also been updated with the latest 8th gen Intel core processors. Pricing for the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Notebook begins at $1709 and it will go on sale in June.
ThinkPad X1 Yoga Convertible Notebook (4th gen, 2019)
The 4th gen Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga has also received significant design and performance updates for 2019. to that effect, it’s now thinner, lighter and smaller than ever before. Its new precision CNC aluminum chassis weighs just 3.07lbs and offers a 17% smaller footprint than the previous generation. It’s also 11% thinner with slimmer bezels.
On the display front, you can choose from a 400 nit FHD display or a 500 nit 4K display with Dolby Vision and HDR400 certification. Under the hood, there is the latest 8th gen Intel core processors and the system comes with a premium Dolby Atmos four-speaker sound system.
Lenovo ThinkVision P44W monitor
To complement their new ThinkPad lineup, Lenovo is announcing the Lenovo ThinkVision P44W. This ultra wide and curved display is a 43.4” borderless business monitor with an immersive 32:10 aspect ratio. It’s HDR400 certified, and it offers a 144Hz refresh rate with 4ms response time along with AMD FreeSync technology. It’s also TÜV Eye Comfort certified to help reduce eye strain. The monitor is able to accept two video inputs with Picture-by-picture support. In addition to HDMI, the monitor supports USB Type-C inputs.
The Lenovo ThinkVision P44W monitor goes on sale in April for $1299.00.
