Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi is celebrating its 40th anniversary this coming May, and to pay tribute to the beloved 1983 movie and its impact on popular culture, LEGO Star Wars has unveiled two new diorama building sets that let fans recreate two of the most iconic scenes from the film. The two construction sets are as follows:
LEGO Star Wars – Emperor’s Throne Room

This 807-piece diorama building set is an accurate LEGO brick representation of Emperor Palpatine’s Throne Room on the rebuilt Death Star featured in Return of the Jedi. This LEGO replica features the room’s instantly recognizable window, the Emperor’s chair, and many other details.
The set comes with three minifigures featuring the characters Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader (both with their lightsabers), as well as Emperor Palpatine, whose lightsaber and bolts of Sith lightning are hidden on the underside of the model. The minifigures can be placed in different positions on the diorama to replicate different moments from the scene.
LEGO Star Wars – Endor Speeder Chase

This diorama building set brings to life the high-speed action amongst the lush forest floor, with Luke Skywalker racing on a speeder bike between the trees.
Made up of 608 LEGO pieces, the Endor Speeder Chase diorama includes three minifigures based on Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and a Scout Trooper, and allows builders to recreate the two speeder bikes featured in the scene, as well as its forest setting, including the greenery on the ground and Endor’s tall tree tops.
Both diorama building sets are highly detailed and each features a printed display plaque with a movie quote, making them perfect display pieces for fans to add to their LEGO Star Wars collection.
Where to buy LEGO Star Wars Return of the Jedi diorama sets
Both the Emperor’s Throne Room and Endor Speeder Chase diorama sets are now available for pre-order at LEGO.com, and will be available for purchase at LEGO retailers starting May 1st.

Other new LEGO Star Wars building sets
The launch of LEGO Star Wars – Emperor’s Throne Room and LEGO Star Wars – Endor Speeder Chase comes just two days after the debut of LEGO Star Wars – Ultimate Collector Series X-wing Starfighter building set.

At over 55cm / 21.5” long, the new LEGO Star Wars X-wing Starfighter set is based on the iconic T-65 X-wing Starfighter first seen in 1977’s Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. Once complete, fans can display the X-wing model with either the wings open or closed. It also comes complete with Luke Skywalker and R2-D2TM astromech droid minifigures, and a display plaque with technical details about the X-wing.
The new LEGO Star Wars – Ultimate Collector Series X-wing Starfighter will be available from May 1st for LEGO VIP members exclusively on LEGO.com, and for everyone starting May 4th. It has a price tag of $239.99.
