Infinix is announcing a new smartphone series that heroes its advanced imaging technologies, including a 60X periscope moonshot lens, and the company’s own Galileo algorithm specifically crafted for taking clear shots of the moon. The new Zero X series offers three new smartphones — the Zero X Pro, Zero X, and Zero X Neo.
Boasting of high-performing full focal length cameras, the Zero X Pro leads the series with its Impressive 108-megapixel OIS main camera. It’s accompanied by an 8-megapixel periscope moonshot lens with 5X optical zoom and 60X hybrid zoom and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and macro lens combo.
The Zero X, on the other hand, carries a 64-megapixel super night camera lens for its headliner and then adopts the Pro variant’s dual 8-megapixel setup for support. The Zero X Neo’s main camera is a 48-megapixel super-night camera.
Infinix is equipping the entire series with a special Super Moon Mode which utilizes the Galileo algorithm. According to Infinix, this specially developed software “combines lunar exposure and focus locking systems to quickly adjust the focus motor to the clearest predicted position, while revolution elimination algorithms calculate and eliminate the influence of natural tidal forces enabling a clear shot of the moon. ” In essence, what Inifinix offers is a smarter and better way to take clear and sharp photos of the moon or night sky.
Selfies are taken care of using a 16-megapixel shooter that’s available across the Zero X series. Additionally, the phones are equipped with 960FPS slow motion and 4K time-lapse video.
The Zero X Pro and Zero X both house a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate while the Zero X Neo houses a 6.78-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. At the heart of the devices is a MediaTek Helio G95 processor with HyperEngine technology for faster performance and connections.
They are also fitted with Infinix’s Dar-Link 2.0 cooling tech that not only cools the device but also intelligently improves image stability and touch sensitivity. For OS, the Zero X series smartphones run the company’s XOS 7.6.
Lastly, the Zero X Pro and Zero X are powered by a 4,500mAh battery with access to 45W quick charge technology. This provides power up to 40% in just 15 minutes. The Zero X Neo has a larger 5,000mAh battery but only has access to 18W charging.
All members of the Zero X series will be offered in Nebula Black and Starry Silver. The Zero X Pro will have an exclusive Tuscany Brown colorway, while the Zero X Neo will have an additional Bahamas Blue color option. There’s no word on pricing and availability yet.
