The official Game of Thrones fan convention just got more star-studded.

The Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment and event management company Creation Entertainment announced on Thursday that a number of actors from the Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon have joined the highly anticipated fan convention.

Who are the guests at the Game of Thrones Fan Convention?

Off the heels of HBO’s hugely successful House of the Dragon season 1 finale last October, Paddy Considine (King Viserys Targaryen), Steve Toussaint (Lord Corlys “The Sea Snake” Velaryon), and Matthew Needham (Larys Strong) have been revealed as the newest additions to the fan convention’s guest lineup.

The trio joined the previously announced guests, including Game of Thrones alums Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane), Kristian Nairn (Hodor), Daniel Portman (Podrick Payne), Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy), and Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark).

Ryan Condal, co-creator and executive producer of House of the Dragon, will also join the fan convention virtually. He is set to make a special virtual appearance live from London where he is working on the sophomore run of the prequel series. He will join the event hosts Jason Concepcion and Greta Johnsen for an exclusive conversation about the making of the first season of House of the Dragon.

What will happen at the Game of Thrones Fan Convention?

Aside from engaging panels and discussions, the fan convention will give attendees opportunities to come up close and personal with some of their favorite Game of Thrones actors through meet-and-greets, photo ops, autograph signings, and even an evening dance party hosted by Nairn, who is actually a house/trance DJ long before he landed the role of Hodor.

Fans will also have a chance to win great prizes during cosplay and trivia contests and shop for exclusive merchandise available on the show floor. The convention will also host a wonderful complimentary dinner exclusive for guests who purchased the Iron Throne package at $1489 each.

Some of the not-to-be-missed happenings at the fan convention are the following:

  • Hosted by Concepcion and Johnsen, the official Game of Thrones Podcast: House of the Dragon, will tape a live episode from the main stage of the fan convention.
  • Attendees will get the first look at the all-new never-before-seen featurette, Return to the Seven Kingdoms, seen exclusively on the 4K Ultra HDTM.
  • There will be a panel/workshop with David J. Peterson, creator of the Dothraki and High Valyrian language. Peterson will teach the audience how to use them and share his inspiration behind creating the two languages.
  • Fans will also get a sneak peek of the all-new Game of Thrones display that will launch at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Hollywood in early 2023 featuring original costumes and props from the hit TV series.
  • Developers and artists of the mobile strategy game Game of Thrones: Conquest will also be present at the fan convention for a panel that will feature an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the mobile game.
  • Representatives from Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products and NFT platform Nifty will also attend the fan convention to talk about Game of Thrones: Build Your Realm, a collection of digital collectibles and experiences based on the beloved franchise.
  • Zynga will also be at the fan convention to promote its Game of Thrones Slots Casino. The social slot games will be giving away official Game of Thrones merchandise for lucky fans.
  • The fan convention will also serve as a meetup place for users of House of the Dragon: DracARys, an augmented reality app that launched last summer. At the fan convention, DracARys users can join a meetup session to connect with other fans, compare their dragons, and learn more about how to train and grow their dragons as they await House of the Dragon season 2.
