Fans of Dr. Mario World will be excited to hear Nintendo is working on a mobile version of the beloved franchise.
According to multiple sources, Nintendo has partnered with Line and NHN Entertainment to develop the upcoming game, which is pegged for an “early summer” release.
The first Dr. Mario puzzle game was launched nearly 30 years ago for the NES. Since then, Nintendo has released serval different versions for the 64, Wii U, and 3DS.
While the company says the game will be free to download, players will likely need to purchase in-app add-ons to unlock additional levels.
Android and iOS users in the US and Japan are expected to be among the first with access.
