The Running Wild with Bear Grylls episode featuring Gina Carano may never see the light of day.
Carano, who was fired by Disney and Lucasfilm from Disney+’s The Mandalorian last month, filmed an episode of Running Wild with Bear Grylls last year. That episode was originally part of the reality show’s upcoming sixth season, but recently released episode guides from websites like TVMaze now exclude the installment.
While Disney has yet to comment on Carano’s episode being absent from TV listings, all of the other previously announced celebrities for the sixth season of the show have their episodes scheduled to air. Those celebs are Marvel’s Anthony Mackie, Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Terry Crews, professional racing driver Danica Patrick, The Office’s Rainn Wilson, Key and Peele’s Keegan-Michael Key, character actor Danny Trejo, and engaged couple Bobby Bones and Caitlin Parker.
It’s not clear whether Carano’s Running Wild with Bear Grylls episode will ever be released, but the installment would have seen the mixed martial artist-turned-actress venture to the Dolomites mountain range in Italy with Grylls.
In a tweet last January, Carano admitted that she “definitely faced some fears” while filming the episode. Despite that, she still considered hanging out with Grylls in the Dolomites as one of the best experiences of her life and her 2020.
One of the best experiences of my life & most definitely my 2020 was hanging out with this guy @beargrylls ❤️ in the Dolomites. Definitely faced some fears. ? Much love to you Bear! Incredible human being. ? pic.twitter.com/GTSCJQ4h7t

Carano, who recurred as Cara Dune in the first two seasons of The Mandalorian, was dropped by Lucasfilm and her talent agency UTA in February after she shared a number of controversial posts on social media, including one that likened today’s divided political landscape in the U.S. to Nazi Germany. She also previously courted controversy for her anti-mask sentiments and posts about election fraud and gender pronouns.
Though several fans have been campaigning for Lucy Lawless to take over role of Cara Dune from Carano, a story published by The Hollywood Reporter claimed that Disney and Lucasfilm would simply retire the character.
While fans won’t likely see Carano in any Disney projects in the future, her Hollywood career is far from over. Just two days after Lucasfilm confirmed her firing, the actress hit back at her detractors with the announcement that she’s teaming up with conservative website The Daily Wire for a new film that she will develop, produce, and star in.
Running Wild with Bear Grylls season 6 is set to premiere on Monday, March 29th on both National Geographic and Disney+.
