A huge announcement about the future of the HBO sitcom Curb Your Enthusiasm was made last week.
Will there be a season 12 of Curb Your Enthusiasm?
The Larry David-created series is officially coming back for a season 12. The announcement was made by Rich Olsen on Twitter after hosting a panel for the Emmys with David and his fellow Curb Your Enthusiasm costars Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, J.B. Smoove, Cheryl Hines, and Richard Lewis. The event, which was also attended by executive producer Jeff Schaffer, screened an episode from the show’s season 11 and saw a discussion about the episode afterward.
So, I was honored to emcee an @TheEmmys panel for “Curb Your Enthusiasm” tonight here in LA with most of the cast and asked Larry David the ultimate question:
Will there be another season of Curb?
He said yes.

When will Curb Your Enthusiasm season 12 come out?
Curb Your Enthusiasm season 12 doesn’t have a release date yet. Despite that being the case, the mere confirmation that there’s going to be another season is more than enough to excite fans, as the show has been infamous for not following the standard series release schedule since it launched back in 2000.
As longtime fans know, a new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm only goes into production when David has an idea, which explains the irregular intervals between the show’s 11 seasons. For instance, season 9 of the sitcom aired six years after its season 8, and fans waited another three years between seasons 9 and 10.
What will happen in Curb Your Enthusiasm season 12?
Plot details for the upcoming season of Curb Your Enthusiasm are being kept under wraps, but the show’s season 11, which wrapped up last December, followed the semi-fictionalized version of David as he developed a series about himself, focusing on when he was a kid. When he was got blackmailed into casting a not very good actress, due to his pool not having a fence, David started dating a city councilwoman in an attempt to get rid of the five-foot fence law.
While David has yet to share his idea for season 12, fans can expect more actors to guest star as fictionalized versions of themselves in the upcoming batch of episodes. Season 11 alone saw Albert Brooks, Ted Danson, Jon Hamm, Woody Harrelson, Richard Lewis, Lucy Liu, Dylan O’Brien, and Seth Rogen appear as themselves in the series, with most of them getting in an argument with David over something very trivial.
Like all previous seasons, season 12 is expected to have a spontaneous narrative, as the series will likely continue filming without a script, only giving cast members scene outlines to help them improvise their lines as they go.
