On Thursday, just a week after the sellout March 17th launch of their coffee-inspired Bad Bunny x Adidas Forum Buckle Low called The First Café, Bad Bunny and Adidas unveiled a pink iteration of the sneakers.
Similar to the inaugural The First Café release, the pink version of the basketball silhouette features a premium mix of suede and synthetic overlays throughout the upper. Maintaining a build informed by the original adidas Forum of 1984, the shoe sports a semi-translucent pink midsole, solid pink outsole, double-stacked tongues, fastening system on the heel, and a buckle-fastened strap on the midfoot.
The black heavy-duty clasp, which Bad Bunny added to the Adidas Originals classic, brings a nice contrast to the iteration’s mellow color palette. Sitting right below Bad Bunny’s signature El Ojo (The Eye) graphics on the tongue, the buckle has a velcro strap that reveals the slogan “Yo Visto Así”, which can be translated into “I Dress Like This” or “I Dress This Way”. Bad Bunny’s minimalist bunny logo can also be seen through the translucent circle on the outsole.
The theme behind the latest color scheme has yet to be revealed, but if some of the pictures Bad Bunny (real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) posted to his Instagram account are any indication, the new version may be floral-inspired.
An official CONFIRMED app release date for the pink Bad Bunny x Adidas Forum Buckle Low has yet to be announced, but since Bad Bunny ― the current WWE’s 24/7 champion ― is set to face off with The Miz at WrestleMania 2021 on April 10th, there’s a possibility that the $160 sneaker will be released around that time.
