Xiaomi 11T Pro review: this flagship charges to 100% in 17 minutes

This week, Xiaomi released a new teaser video from its Android-powered Mi Fold foldable phone. While the 10-second promo clip is devoid of specs and specifics, the Chinese company did manage to sneak in just enough information to leave us tech enthusiasts longing for more.

For instance, it appears the Mi Fold will feature just an exterior display. This is contrary to Samsung’s Galaxy Fold, the first foldable smartphone from a mainstream manufacturer, which is set to have both an interior and exterior display. Also, rather than fold in half, Xiaomi’s device boasts a bifold design, meaning the phone folds twice.

As portrayed in the clip, the phone’s display will showcase a 4×4 app gird when fully unfurled as well as folded. What’s more, the animations that are triggered as the phone transitions between states appear to run smoothly, however, some suggest that special effects may have been used to create the video.

With that said, we’re excited to see how well the device holds up to scrutiny once introduced to a real audience. Though we’re just weeks away from Samsung’s Galaxy Fold release, Xiaomi has yet to announce a release date or price for its foldable device.
