The Transformers Optimus Prime Auto-Converting Robot, released by Hasbro and Robosen Robotics last year, is finally getting some backup in its fight against the Decepticons.
On Tuesday, the toy brand and the robotics innovator officially unveiled the Transformers Optimus Prime Auto-Converting Trailer and Roller Set, a collector’s kit specially designed as a companion toy for the flagship Optimus Prime robot.
Optimus Prime Auto-Converting Trailer and Roller Set product features
Dubbed as the world’s first auto-converting Flagship Optimus Prime Trailer Kit, the toy set is modeled after the original G1 design and features realistic details like swing-out motorized hydraulic lifts, automatic opening back gates (doors), illuminated combat deck, articulating grapple-arm, and a sturdy ramp (manually lowered) for Roller to zoom in and out of. When fully extended with the combat deck grapple-arm, the set stands an impressive 3ft (91mm) tall.
Powered by 60 microchips and 18 individual servo motors, the Trailer auto-converts into maintenance and battle mode by folding open, pivoting upwards, and exposing its massive firepower from within the combat deck. Stationed inside, Roller awaits your command to explore and engage the enemy, all via the Robosen app, which also connects the Trailer with Flagship Optimus Prime (sold separately) for a more authentic and awe-inspiring experience.
For a quick and realistic connection, Flagship Optimus Prime can also seamlessly tow the Trailer while it’s operating in truck mode.
Optimus Prime Auto-Converting Trailer and Roller Set inclusions
The set comes with a Spike Witwicky figurine that can fit inside Roller or the combat deck turret cabin.
The kit also includes a protective foam storage case, rechargeable lithium cell battery built-in and charging cable, as well as a limited-edition collectible pack, which is comprised of an Autobot magnetic car badge, metal challenge coin, individual serialized number, and a sticker pack.
