TCL just dropped a bombshell with their new NXTFRAME TV which should give Samsung’s Frame TV a run for its money.

The NXTFRAME TV is serving up some serious eye candy with its ultra-slim design. We’re talking a mere 1.1 inches deep (1.2 inches for the 85″ version).

The NXTFRAME comes decked out in an off-white frame with a light wood colored magnetic frame that you can slap on for some extra pizzazz. And with the included Flush Wall Mount, this TV hugs your wall tighter than your clingy ex.

Of course, there’s an art mode. Samsung’s Frame TV might have pioneered the “TV as art” concept, but TCL’s NXTFRAME is here to paint a whole new picture (pun totally intended).

The NXTFRAME rocks a highly matte anti-reflective screen that’ll make your living room feel like a bonafide art gallery. TCL’s throwing in a complimentary Art Library, because nothing says “cultured” like cycling through digital Monets and Van Goghs. But here’s where it gets wild – the NXTFRAME’s got AI Art capabilities. That’s right, folks, you can now have an AI Picasso in your living room!

Under the hood, the NXTFRAME is packing some serious heat. We’re talking QLED Pro technology and HDR ULTRA with Dolby Vision IQ.

And for all you gamers out there, the NXTFRAME’s got your back with a 120Hz / 144Hz VRR panel refresh rate and Motion Rate 480. Plus, Game Accelerator 240 with Auto Game Mode and AMD FreeSync Premium

TCL didn’t skimp on the audio either. They’ve teamed up with Bang & Olufsen for the NXTFRAME Pro series’ sound bar and subwoofer which packs in Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and DTS Virtual:X.

With prices starting at $1,499.99 for the 55″ model and going up to $3,999.99 for the 85″ behemoth (Pro models will cost you a bit more), the NXTFRAME isn’t exactly pocket change.

Look, the Samsung Frame TV has been the darling of the art-meets-tech world for a while now.  Back at CES 2024, Hisense announce their CanvasTV which is also a competitor to the Samsung Frame TV, albeit a more affordable one. So it’s clear that with the NXTFRAME, the competition for the Samsung Frame TV is heating up. But if you ask me, what’s really needed in this space is more affordable alternatives to the Samsung Frame TV, and the NXTFRAME unfortunately isn’t looking to be that.

TCL’s NXTFRAME will make its debut at IFA 2024 in Berlin.
