Iconic New York City restaurant Serendipity3 is now serving a sundae created by its celebrity partner, investor, and part-owner Selena Gomez.
Simply called The Selena Sundae, the dessert is inspired by the singer-actress’ Serendipity Brands flavor Cookies & Cream Remix. The sundae features three scoops of cookies & cream ice cream, along with banana, hot fudge, cream-filled cookie crumbles, decadent pink sugar, whipped cream, and a cherry on top. Ten percent of the proceeds from the sundae will go to Gomez’s Rare Impact Fund, a fundraising campaign committed to expanding access to mental health services in educational settings.
The addition of The Selena Sundae to Serendipity3’s menu comes just one year after Gomez became a partner, investor, and part-owner of the restaurant and its line of premium ice cream. The sundae’s launch is also part of the restaurant’s extended celebration for its reopening last July after over a year of renovations and revitalization to its flagship location.
“My memories at Serendipity date back to when I was a kid and I came to New York City for the first time. I’ve always loved this restaurant, and I am excited to celebrate its reopening by adding a sundae I created to the menu,” said Gomez in a statement.
Unlike Serendipity3’s other celebrity collaborations, The Selena Sundae is a regular feature item on the restaurant’s menu, which includes classics, as well as new upgrades, including the Infamous Truffle Burger with Boursin Cheese & Black Truffle Mayo, and the It’s My Birthday Cake Sundae that features cake batter ice cream, a giant piece of cake, whipped cream, hot fudge, and a Cherry on top.
Located at 225 E 60th Street, Serendipity3 is open Monday thru Thursday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
