Samsung is expected to unveil its foldable smartphone during the company’s upcoming Developer Conference. The two-day event will take place at San Fran’s Moscone Center on November 7th and 8th.
In the past few months, CEO DJ Koh has dropped several hints regarding Samsungs foldable device, however, speculation hit fever pitch last week when the company tweeted out a cryptic promo video.

While it’s subtle, some believe the manner in which the arrow unfolds to revile the date represents a sneak peek at what’s to come.
Given how game-changing a well-engineered foldable phone will be, Koh says his company’s slow yet deliberate approach is necessary to avoid gimmicks. Though other ‘foldable’ devices have popped up in recent years, Samsung is out to create the world’s first “truly foldable smartphone,” boasts Koh.
And while Samsung seems to be the clear-cut frontrunner, other companies like Huawei are now dropping hints that they too are working to become a leader in the foldable phone niche.
