Razor has announced an update to their popular RipStik Rush, the electric RipStik 2.0 skateboard. The company known for the iconic Razor kick scooter is bringing in a new, motorized design to its classic RipStik boards that will soon be available.
The new RipStik 2.0 doesn’t look too different from the non-electric boards but it’s now equipped with an electric motor controlled by a handheld controller. The motor is capable of up to 40 minutes of continuous riding and can go up to speeds of 10mph. The handheld controller lets users accelerate and decelerate and can be magnetically stored under the board when not in use.
The electric motor also, in no way, restricts the RipStik 2.0 to operate as a normal board. Razor’s enhanced RipStik technology can recreate the feel of snowboarding or wakeboarding thanks to the back of the board that can easily fishtail, carve, or drift.
The New RipStik Rush, the electric RipStik 2.0 will soon be available with a suggested retail price of $249.
Alongside the announcement of the new RipStik Rush is news of the arrival of the highly anticipated Razor C25 electric scooter this July. The foldable scooter is designed to accompany the everyday commuter and it utilizes rear-wheel-drive for easy and comfortable rides on all kinds of surfaces. It’s also equipped with a 12-inch solid front wheel, and it can go as fast as 18mph and up to 15.5 miles on a single charge.
