Mondelez combines Ritz and Oreo into a single snack

The RITZ x OREO snack mashup is 50% sweet, 50% salty, and 100% delicious


For years, many people have been pairing Ritz crackers and Oreo cookies to satisfy their cravings for a sweet and salty snack. Now, Mondelez International ― the parent company of both brands since 2012 ― is making that combo official for a limited time.

On Tuesday, the two snack brands unveiled RITZ x OREO, a first-of-its-kind product mashup that’s one part Ritz cracker and one part Oreo cookie, joined together by two delicious layers of peanut butter-flavored creme and the original Oreo filling.


Though Ritz and Oreo have been around since 1934 and 1912, respectively, RITZ x OREO is their very first collaboration together.

“Over the past few years, Ritz has been exploring innovative partnerships and experiences to spark excitement around our iconic, buttery cracker,” said Alexis Yap, Ritz Senior Brand Manager, in a statement. “We couldn’t resist the opportunity to collaborate with our friends at Oreo on a snack that’s part salty cracker, part chocolate cookie, and entirely delicious. This is a collab our fans won’t want to miss!”

Sydney Kranzmann, Oreo Senior Brand Manager, added: “At Oreo, we are constantly exploring playful ways to excite our fans, from innovative limited-edition flavors to unexpected collaborations. This RITZxOREO product marks our first product collaboration with our friends at Ritz and we can’t wait to hear what Oreo superfans think about this new take on the classic combination of chocolate and peanut butter!”

The RITZ x OREO snack mashup will be up for grabs exclusively at starting at 12 p.m. ET on Thursday, May 26th. To score a pack, fans only have to pay $3.95 to cover the shipping. RITZ x OREO Instagram filter

To celebrate the iconic collab, Ritz and Oreo are also releasing an Instagram filter next week that will give fans a personalized breakdown of how salty and sweet they are with some fun extras to uncover. The filter can be accessed by scanning a QR code hidden on the treat packaging.
