With Tom Holland returning as Peter Parker on July 31, Little Caesars is getting in on the hype early.

The chain rolled out its tie-in with Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day this week (June 22), launching the Webberoni Pizza nationwide, more than a month before the film opens.

Shredding the fast-food rules

The Webberoni is built around one new idea: shredded pepperoni. Something Little Caesars says no fast food chain has offered before.

The shreds are spread across a toasted two-cheese blend and baked into a Spider-Man web pattern. The specialty pizza sells for $8.99 with the option to add the same shredded pepperoni and toasted cheese web onto any other Little Caesars pizza for an extra fee when ordering online.

So why shredded? Pepperoni cut into slices isn’t as generous as it could be. Land on a piece with three slices, and the bite shines. Land between them and the pepperoni is missing entirely. Shredding the meat down spreads it thin enough to cover the whole pie, and every bite picks up some.

Jeffrey Godsick, head of brand strategy and partnerships at Sony Pictures Entertainment, addressed the collaboration in a statement: “Spider-Man is known for its explosive action, humor, and fun, and collaborating with Little Caesars, a brand recognized for its bold voice and playful spirit, on Spider-Man: Brand New Day was a natural fit,” Godsick noted.

Beyond the pizza box

The partnership extends well beyond the pizza itself. Little Caesars also redesigned its boxes, with three different Spider-Man: Brand New Day prints showing up at locations across the country.

The boxes feature Marvel comic art of the character swinging through New York. In Brooklyn, the chain created a full-scale recreation of Peter Parker’s apartment. Fans can walk through the space Saturday, June 27, from 1 to 8 p.m. ET at the Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse on West Street.

Visitors can take photos, hunt for hidden movie Easter eggs in the set, and enjoy Webberoni Pizza on site.

Additional promotional items, including posters, will arrive on July 6. Every Webberoni Pizza picked up from that day onward will include a limited-edition print. The stores will rotate three different designs week to week. Anyone hoping to complete the whole set will have to make more than just one trip.

Brand New Day picks up four years after Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). Peter Parker now lives alone in New York, where nobody remembers him. The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, with Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, and Mark Ruffalo all reprising their roles alongside Holland.
