Lenovo has revealed their newest lineup of Legion gaming laptops. The latest Lenovo Legion laptops carry 11th Gen Intel processors alongside some pretty powerful internals. In addition to that, Lenovo has announced a new 360Hz monitor, the Lenovo Legion Y25g-30.
Leading the pack is the company’s flagship model, the Lenovo Legion 7i that offers up to 165W GeForce RTX 3080 graphics. Next in line is the Lenovo Legion 5i Pro followed by the Lenovo Legion 5i which both support up to GeForce RTX 3050 Ti and RTX 3050.
The Lenovo Legion 7i will house the world’s first 16-inch WQXGA gaming display on a laptop. It offers a 2560×1600 resolution and a 165Hz high refresh rate. Equipped with GeForce RTX 30-series graphic cards, the Legion 7i is equipped to handle second-generation ray tracing, third-generation AI Tensor cores, and more for truly impressive renders. It’s supported by up to 32GB of RAM and up to 2TB SSD or 1TB + 32GB Intel Optane with SSD.
All of the latest Legion laptops are powered by the latest 11th Gen Intel Core H-series processors and provide expansion slots of up to 20 PCIe lanes that supposedly offer “desktop-caliber performance.” It also offers Thunderbolt 4 for fast connections to external displays, charging, or data transfer. Internet speeds should also not be an issue thanks to the built-in Killer Wi-Fi 6 so you can go live or stream without fear of lag.
For cooling, the company will be offering its Legion Coldfront 3.0 that boasts of increased airflow for lower system temperatures and longer gameplay sessions. Software is supported by AI-optimized Lenovo Legion AI Engine which reduces in-game lag by dynamically shifting power between CPU and GPU.
Alongside the new Legion laptops, Lenovo is also introducing the Legion Y25g-30 gaming display. It’s a 360Hz monitor, the fastest refresh rate in the world, that supports NVIDIA G-Snc and NVIDIA Reflex to provide a smooth, tear-free, gaming experience.
The monitor is offered in 24.5-inch display size and comes with Eye Comfort technology that reduces eye strain. It’s able to lift, tilt, pivot, and swivel so gamers can accurately adjust the monitor to their preference. This IPS panel monitor offers a 99-percent sRGB wide color gamut, 400 nits of brightness, and a 1ms response time as well. Speakers come in the form of a built-in, dual, 3W unit. There’s even a hook to store your headphones.
