Krispy Kreme is bringing back its green doughnuts for St. Patrick’s Day.

The doughnut and coffeehouse chain announced on March 7th that its green doughnuts, also known as O’riginal Glazed Doughnuts, will again be available at its stores nationwide starting Friday, March 15th, to Sunday, March 17th. For those who aren’t familiar, Krispy Kreme’s O’riginal Glazed Doughnut is just a variation of its classic glazed doughnut that is made with a special kind of green dough.

To make this year’s celebration of St. Patrick’s Day even more memorable, Krispy Kreme is also giving everyone a chance to win a Golden Dozen Pass that entitle customers to a dozen free doughnuts per month through March 2020.

“What could be better than a green O’riginal Glazed doughnut? Not much. But free Original Glazed doughnuts for a year might do the trick,” Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s chief marketing officer, said in a statement.

Krispy Kreme’s Golden Dozen Giveaway will run during Krispy Kreme store opening hours at participating locations beginning on March 15th and ending on March 17th. During the promo run, participants must visit a participating Krispy Kreme location, make a purchase of any amount and receive a receipt. Potential prize winners will be randomly selected and the receipt will advise participants if they are a potential prize winner.

Participants can also enter the promo without making a purchase. During the promo period, all they need to do is send a 3 x 5 inch card with their name, mailing address, email address, age, and contact number on it, and mail them to Krispy Kreme’s office in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Each location is expected to hand out multiple Golden Dozen Passes per day over the three-day St Patrick’s Day celebration, and with more winners coming from those who would enter the promo by mail, the company said that thousands of lucky customers across the country will receive the passes.
