HONOR has announced the launch of its HONOR 70 series smartphones, and it’s all about vlogging.

At the heart of every HONOR 70 smartphone is its 1/1.48-inch IMX800 video camera. This is the latest flagship mobile digital sensor from Sony, primarily designed to maximize the detail of both video and still shots, theoretically proving to be a worthy competitor to current Google and Apple camera offerings.

The HONOR 70 Pro and HONOR 70 Pro+ comes with an additional 8MP Telephoto camera as well as standard Electronic and Optical Image Stabilization (EIS and OIS) to preserve image detail even further.

While not much detail has been provided, the 70 series’ self-proclaimed “industry-first” Solo Cut Mode Vlog is said to create picture-perfect vlogs where users can automatically track a specific person within a group, effectively making vlogging experience seamless.

The HONOR 70 series mainly comes in three different flavors: HONOR 70, HONOR 70 Pro, and HONOR 70 Pro+. Aside from the typical RAM and storage capacity variation, each model is powered by different CPUs for each tier.

The basic HONOR 70 is powered by the Snapdragon 778G Plus 5G, the HONOR 70 Pro comes powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8000, while the top-of-the-line HONOR 70 Pro+ features MediaTek’s newest flagship, the MediaTek Dimensity 9000, which is theoretically more powerful than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

The HONOR 70 series comes with a few more nifty touches to make the experience of using the device just a smidge better. The camera setup is axisymmetric, for example. The HONOR 70 Pro+ and HONOR 70 Pro boast a 6.78-inch OLED screen, with a fully symmetrical quad curved design, sporting an FHD 120Hz resolution.

The devices themselves weigh no more than 200g, and HONOR assures its users that the 70 series can “effortlessly fit into small handbags and pockets.

As for its interface, all three models run on the latest HONOR Magic UI 6.1, which is based on Android 12. You can pick a different assortment of color themes for all models, such as Midnight Black, Crystal Silver, Emerald Green, Frosted Gold, and Icelandic Frost.
