After their successful collaboration for their 50th anniversaries back in 2010, Hello Kitty and Dr. Martens have teamed up once again to mark their joint 60th anniversaries this year.
To celebrate the milestone, Hello Kitty and Dr. Martens co-created a new capsule collection that includes platform boots, loafers, and sandals. Though these shoes only come in the classic black colorway, their adorable Hello Kitty designs give them a fun touch of kawaii. All footwear in the collection will be available in women’s and kids sizes.
While the shoes are the standout items in the new Hello Kitty x Dr. Martens lineup, the collection also features two pairs of socks, laces, a heart-shaped satchel, a pin badge, and a lace jewel. The entire collection, with prices ranging from $15 to $250, will drop online anytime today, March 6th, on the Dr. Martens website. It will also be available on the same day in select retailers across the country.
Below are some of the items in the collection:
#1 Jadon Hello Kitty
Priced at $200 a pair, this Hello Kitty version of Dr. Martens’ eight-eye boots comes in matte black faux leather, with Hello Kitty popping out from the ankle stitching. The Sanrio character is wearing a yellow outfit on one boot and her classic blue-and-red getup on the other. Both boots feature a chunky zipper that goes up the inner ankle. The name Hello Kitty is also printed in bold white font on the back of each shoe, which sits on a 1.5-inch platform.
#2 1461 Quad Hello Kitty
Sleek and shiny low-top shoes, the Hello Kitty x Dr. Martens 1461 loafers feature heart-shaped window designs, where Hello Kitty waves on one shoe and her sister Mimmy waves from the other. Retailing for $170 a pair, this footwear sits on a 1.5-inch platform and has the name Hello Kitty printed in bold white font on the heel.
#3 Vegan Hello Kitty Sandals
Decked out with Hello Kitty’s bright red bow, these triple-height platform sandals feature a white-and-yellow heel tag, instead of the classic Doc black-and-yellow. These 100% vegan sandals sell for $120 a pair — the cheapest footwear in the collection.
#4 Hello Kitty x Dr. Martens heart-shaped satchel
Made from matte black, faux leather, this bag features a large red bow graphic on top and an image of Hello Kitty peeking out from behind the clasp. There are also a few subtle Hello Kitty motifs on every side of the purse, making it extra adorable. Though the price hasn’t been confirmed yet, the accessory is expected to retail for $100.
