Funko has launched a new collection of Pride Pop! vinyl figures in time for this year’s Pride Month.
Like the toy maker’s 2020 Pride Pop! collection, the 2021 lineup is comprised of rainbow-colored vinyl figures, including Marvel’s antihero Deadpool, Bob’s Burgers character Tina Belcher, Star Wars’ BB-8 and Stormtrooper, Disney/Pixar’s Wall-E, and Disney’s Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Stitch. Each figure measures approximately 3 3/4-inches tall and comes packaged in a window display box.
The BB-8 and Minnie Mouse figures, which are priced at $15 each, are exclusively available on Funko.com and Funko Flagship Stores. The remaining figures, meanwhile, are selling for $11 each. Aside from Funko.com and Funko Flagship Stores, they are also available for preorder on Amazon, GameStop, Walmart, Target, Entertainment Earth, and other retailers.
Funko’s Pride Pop! collection is a celebration of inclusivity and acceptance. And to further show its support to the LGBTQ+ community, Funko has also made a new donation to the It Gets Better Project.
Founded by gay activist Dan Savage and his husband Terry Miller back in 2010, the It Gets Better Project helps LGBTQ+ youth embrace their identities and feel empowered through storytelling and educational efforts. By showcasing other people’s experiences of overcoming adversity, It Gets Better seeks to inspire hope in new generations to make them feel more accepted and loved by their own community, in spite of their situation at home or at school.
Disney, which owns the characters featured in Funko’s 2021 Pride Pop! collection is supporting It Gets Better affiliates in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru by funding efforts to develop content that will serve LGBTQ+ youth across the region.
