The lead up to 5G is official over. As of this morning, Motorola becomes the first telecom manufacturer to launch a consumer-ready 5G product. Dubbed the 5G moto mod, this modular component designed exclusively for the Moto z3 is now available for all to preorder.

Known for ultra-fast wireless speeds and ultra-low latency, 5G is set to become a staple technology in 2019.

According to a press release, Verizon plans to offer its customers the $350 moto mod for just $50 for a limited time. Starting a just $10 per month, Verizon says the moto mod will work with its Go Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited or Above Unlimited service plans.

While both companies are accepting preorders, the 5G moto mod doesn’t hit stores until April 11th. Unsurprisingly, this happens to coincide with the company’s 5G rollout across the midwest.
