Dunkin’ and Post Consumer Brands have teamed up for the first time for two coffee-flavored cereals.
Called Post Dunkin’ Caramel Macchiato and Post Dunkin’ Mocha Latte, these new breakfast treats are inspired by two of the most popular Dunkin’ drinks.
Post Dunkin’ Caramel Macchiato cereal recreates the deliciously indulgent taste of its namesake iced coffee beverage with crunchy espresso-flavored cereal pieces and caramel-swirled marshmallows.
Post Dunkin’ Mocha Latte cereal, meanwhile, honors its namesake espresso with a hint of chocolate and latte-swirled marshmallows.
In case you are wondering, both cereals are actually infused with caffeine but only very small amounts. Since these cereals only contain roughly one-tenth of a cup of coffee per serving, they are not meant to replace your morning cup of joe.
“Dunkin’ coffee is a daily ritual for Americans, and we’re excited to be partnering with them to indulge their fans’ coffee cravings,” Josh Jans, brand manager of cereal partnerships at Post Consumer Brands, said in a statement. “Getting the flavor right on our new cereals was a top priority, and we think we’ve nailed the rich, smooth and creamy taste.”
Brian Gilbert, vice president of retail business development at Dunkin, echoed Jans’ statement, saying that “the Post Cereals team has done an excellent job of paying homage to the Caramel Macchiato and Mocha Latte” with the new cereals. “We can’t wait to see how customers enjoy them,” added Gilbert.
Both cereals will be available at grocery stores across the country for $4 per 17-ounce box beginning in late August.
