Disney nuiMOs have officially gone global!
Originating in Japan, Disney nuiMOs are a collection of cute and cuddly plush that can be dressed up in a wide variety of outfits to suit one’s personality and style. The name nuiMOs is a combination of the Japanese words nuigurumi, meaning plush and moderu meaning model. Meant to be an extension of one’s self, Disney nuiMOs make perfect companions thanks to their pocket size and easy portability.
First sold at Disney stores in Japan, Shanghai Disney Resort, and Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Disney nuiMOs are now available in select Disney Parks, Disney stores, and shopDisney.com around the world. Disney nuiMOs plush retail for $17.99 each, while outfits and accessories have a starting price of $12.99.
The Disney nuiMOs collection currently has six plush available: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Stitch, and Angel.
Also included in the toy line are several sets of outfits, which can be mixed and matched to create a variety of styles. Some of the outfits available are Varsity Jacket Set, Chinese New Year Costume, Hooded Zip Jacket and Sneakers Set, Animal Print Set, Denim Jacket and Knitted Hat Set, Faux Fur Coat and Dress Set, and many more.
The Disney nuiMOs lineup also contains clothes and accessories co-created with other brands like Spirit Jersey and Loungefly.
New characters and accessories will be added to the collection each month. For instance, coming out in February is the Everyday Cosplay looks from fashion designer Ashley Eckstein and Disney artist Wesley Jenkins. These looks feature outfits inspired by characters from Toy Story, Tangled, Star Wars, Alice in Wonderland, and more.
For a chance to win pieces from the February collection, take a photo or draw a scene of at least one Disney nuiMOs in an everyday situation 一 such as reading a book or sitting in the park 一 and share it on Instagram with the hashtags #DisneynuiMOs and #shopdisneycontest. @shopDisney and @DisneynuiMOs should also be tagged in the post.
The contest, which began at 3 p.m. ET on January 19th, is set to end at 2:59 p.m. ET on February 28th. The grand prize winner will receive one Disney nuiMOs Donald Duck Plush and five Disney nuiMOs clothing items or accessories. Check out the official rules of the contest here.
