Peacock has ordered a four-part unscripted series that will try to uncover the truth about UFOs.

Titled Unidentified with Demi Lovato, the limited series will follow the titular singer-actress, her skeptical best friend Matthew Scott Montgomery, and her sister Dallas Lovato as they “investigate recent eyewitness encounters, uncover secret government reports, and conduct tests at known UFO hot spots.”

In a statement announcing the series, Peacock called Demi a “true believer” who hopes to convince her friends, family, and her millions of followers” through her “courageous adventure” in the show that intelligent beings from other planets exist and have already visited Earth.

The NBCUniversal-owned streaming service added that Demi plans to learn more about the extra-terrestrials by interviewing scientists and alien abductees in the series, and conduct her own experiments “to initiate close encounters and make peace with the aliens” and ultimately save our planet and humankind.

Lovato’s interest in aliens made headlines back in October 2020 when she shared a video and photos of what appeared to be UFO sightings on Instagram.

“The past few days I’ve spent in Joshua Tree [National Park] with a small group of loved ones and @dr.steven.greer and his CE5 team. Over the past couple months, I have dug deep into the science of consciousness and experienced not only peace and serenity like I’ve never known but I also have witnessed the most incredibly profound sightings both in the sky as well as feet away from me,” Lovato captioned her post. “This planet is on a very negative path towards destruction but WE can change that together. If we were to get 1% of the population to meditate and make contact, we would force our governments to acknowledge the truth about extraterrestrial life among us and change our destructive habits destroying our planet. This is just some of the evidence from under the stars in the desert sky that can no longer be ignored and must be shared immediately.”

Aside from starring in the series, Demi will also executive produce the project alongside Andrew Nock; Scooter Braun, Scott Manson, and Allison Kaye for SB Projects; and JD Roth, Adam Greener, and Sara Hansemann for GoodStory.

In addition to Unidentified with Demi Lovato, Demi is also set to star in the Peacock comedy series Hungry, which centers on a support group for people with food issues.
