Chick-Fil-A is bringing back the fish filet for Lent 2020. The delicious flaky fish sandwich will be available at select retailers through April 11th.
Although it’s available to customers of any religious persuasion, the special menu item is supposed to help Lent observed abstain from meat during this time of reflection. And, yes, while fish is technically a type of meat, many Catholics consider it “meat” only if it comes from land animals like cows, pigs, and chickens.
Chick-Fil-A’s deluxe fish treat includes two deep-fried cod fillets topped with pickles, cheese, tomato, and lettuce – all settled nicely between a toasted, buttery bun with a delicious side of those world-famous waffle fries. You can also order fish tenders, available as a two- or three-count entree.
Not sure about you, but we’ll surely have 1… 2… or a few for ourselves before Chick-Fil-A stops serving the meals on Easter Sunday.
If you’re avoiding any kind of meat this Lent, you can also order different kinds of salads at Chick-Fil-A. Check them all out here.
