Burger King has announced that it is giving away free fries for the rest of the year starting today.
How to get free fries at Burger King
The giveaway is only available to members of Burger King’s free digital loyalty program called Royal Perks. Beginning April 25th, Royal Perks members are given exclusive access to free fries of any size — small, medium, or large — every week, for the remainder of 2022, with any purchase. If you’re not a member yet, simply download the BK app and register for Royal Perks or go to BK.com and click “Sign Up” by June 20th to enjoy free fries every week.
The free fries perk is redeemable until December 31st at participating U.S. Burger King restaurants, on the BK App, and BK.com. Unfortunately, the offer is not valid on delivery orders. It’s also worth noting that the offer expires every Sunday at 11:59 p.m. ET, and then a new offer will be added each Monday for the duration of the giveaway.
Burger King Royal Perks loyalty program
In addition to free fries for the rest of the year, Burger King’s seven-month-old loyalty program also gives its members the opportunity to earn points, called Crowns, for every $1 spent, which they can use to redeem a variety of items for free from across the restaurant chain’s menu.
Royal Perks members who order BK daily also have the option to upsize one drink, fries, or hash browns for free per order, per day. They also have early access to products and limited-time members-only offers and deals, along with chances to earn even more points through Royal Perks challenges and promotions.
Burger King memorably made use of Royal Perks to sell Whopper for 37 cents in celebration of the sandwich’s 64th anniversary in December 2021. It also gave Royal Perks members early access to the new Ghost Pepper Chicken Nuggets in October of the same year.
“Since announcing the rollout of our loyalty program last September, Royal Perks is now available in nearly every Burger King restaurant nationwide,” Tom Curtis, President of Burger King North America, said in a press release, announcing the “Free Fries All Year” offer. “Enhancing the digital Guest experience continues to be a major focus for our brand, and we’re confident this latest offer will attract even more loyal fans while rewarding our existing members.”
In an older press release, Burger King said that Royal Perks is a “major focus” for the restaurant chain as it shifts away from paper coupons. Restaurant Brands International, Burger King’s parent company, also said in a previous earnings call that it’s “pleased with the early results” of Royal Perks signups.
