Alienware Aurora R12 debuts as the Dell XPS Desktop gets refreshed

Both PCs will be available for purchase starting March 18th

Dell has announced that they’re releasing the Alienware Aurora R12 and it’s debuting with the latest 11th Gen Intel Core processors. Alongside this, the company is also updating their ever-popular XPS Desktop with 11th Gen Intel processors and up to RTX 30-series GPUs.

Starting off with the Alienware Aurora R12, this all-new desktop is a follow-up to the Aurora R11. Physically, it doesn’t exhibit too many differences. It retains the same rounded shape with neon turquoise highlights It also comes in the same black and white colors. Internally, however, there are significant upgrades. Customization is still possible with up to 128GB of RAM, an optional dual-drive configuration of up to 2TB, Killer Wi-Fi 6, and more.

For those looking similarly looking for power and performance but would prefer a more minimalist design, Dell is offering the newly refreshed XPS Desktop. The 2020 XPS Desktop exhibited a smaller design and was equipped with 10th Gen Intel processors with GTX 20-series processors. As mentioned earlier, the refreshed versions are now capable of up to 11th Gen Intel Core i9 8-core processors and there’s an option between the AMD Radeon or NVIDIA RTX 30-series for graphics.

The XPS Desktop is also now even smaller than the previous generation. Users will still be able to customize their rig with three additional storage slots available, as well as three tool-less backplane slots.

Both the Alienware Aurora R12 and the Dell XPS Desktop will be available starting March 18th.
