Jennifer Lawrence and husband Cooke Maroney had an unwanted visitor at their home in Los Angeles last March 15th.
The alleged intruder, a 23-year-old woman, reportedly entered the residence around 9:15 p.m. by walking right through the front door, which was unlocked.
Both the X-Men actress and her gallerist spouse were at the house during the incident, and sources said that the two were able to restrain the intruder before the security team arrived and took the trespasser away. Shortly thereafter, the woman was transferred to the custody of law enforcement and was arrested for misdemeanor trespass.
As for why the woman broke into Lawrence and Maroney’s house in the first place, sources said the woman told the police that she simply wanted to meet the actress.
The Hunger Games actress, who has yet to speak publicly about the home invasion, has been keeping a low profile over the last several months as she enjoys newlywed life. Lawrence and Maroney got married last October on the grounds of the Belcourt Mansion in Rhode Island. The ceremony was attended by celebrity guests, including Adele, Ashley Olsen, Nicole Richie, Cameron Diaz, and Joel Madden.
Lawrence last graced the big screen in the 2019 film X-Men: Dark Phoenix. While her time in the X-Men franchise was already over, the 29-year-old actress has a lot of new projects coming up. She will be next seen in the crime drama Mob Girl, comedy flick Don’t Look Up, Elizabeth Holmes biopic Bad Blood, and an untitled Lila Neugebauer movie.
