“Will there be a season 5 of Killing Eve?” ― that’s one of the questions some fans have started to ask now that the spy thriller’s season 4 is down to its last three episodes.
While the current season is arguably the show’s most exciting batch of episodes ever, it is, unfortunately, the final season of the Emmy-nominated series. Back in March 2021, BBC America announced that the series is ending with its eight-episode season 4.
What is Killing Eve about?
Based on the Villanelle novel series by Luke Jennings, Killing Eve follows Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh), a British intelligence investigator tasked with capturing psychopathic assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer). But as their game of cat and mouse progresses, the two develop a mutual obsession, which leads them away from their individual missions and closer to each other.
When will the series finale of Killing Eve air?
The series finale of Killing Eve is set to premiere on Sunday, April 17th, at 8 p.m. ET on BBC America. It will also air on AMC and will be available to stream on AMC+.
The synopsis for the series finale has yet to be released.
Will there be a spinoff of Killing Eve?
Though Killing Eve is wrapping up soon, there are plans to expand the show’s universe through potential spinoffs. AMC Networks and Sid Gentle Films Ltd, the companies that produce Killing Eve, are in the process of developing spinoffs from the series.
While details about the potential spinoffs are being kept under wraps, fans think that it would be interesting to see a series focused on the shadowy organization The Twelve or on the group of investigative journalists known as The Bitter Pill. There are also some viewers who have been calling for a spinoff featuring Villanelle’s various protégées.
