The full Westworld season 4 trailer is out, and while it doesn’t give fans a clear preview of what will happen in the upcoming batch of episodes, it does shed ample light on Evan Rachel Wood’s new character, Christina.
Westworld season 4 trailer
The two-and-a-half-minute Westworld season 4 trailer opens with a number of Christina-centric shots overlaid by the following voice narration from Wood: “This is a story about a girl. Every single day she wakes up, the more she sees it, but nobody else can. That there’s something wrong about the world and that it’s her fault.”
It’s unclear whether the girl Christina is referring to is herself or is the main character of a story she’s developing. As revealed at the ATX Television Festival earlier this month, Christina is a writer who is trying to make it big in New York City.
The trailer also gives fans an update on Charlotte’s (Tessa Thompson) war against humanity. “Your kind made a sport out of hunting us. You controlled our every move and now I’m going to do the same to you. It’s time to evolve into the species that we were meant to become,” Charlotte says in the trailer as she threatens The Man in Black (Ed Harris) who is hooked up to some kind of machine.
Elsewhere in the preview, we see Maeve (Thandiwe Newton) looking mysterious in a cocktail dress, a seemingly clueless Caleb (Aaron Paul) wandering around a lot of places, and Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) holding up a maze-like symbol that has appeared in the show several times before.
Peppered with gunfights, explosions, and a lot of flies, the trailer also teases an action-packed sequence that seems to be set on a dam. Watch the full Westworld season 4 trailer below:
