Right now, you can grab the HP HyperX OMEN 15 Gaming Laptop for $1,249 at Walmart, saving you $650 off its $1,899 price. The laptop pairs NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU with an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H processor, delivering plenty of horsepower for gamers and professionals alike.
It also features a 15-inch 2K display with a 165Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for creative work and fast games. Plus, its OMEN AI can optimize settings to boost frame rates without you having to tweak everything yourself.
Why Choose the HP HyperX OMEN 15 Gaming Laptop?
The main attraction here is the combination of an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU. Together, they give the OMEN the processing and graphics power needed to handle demanding AAA games, multitasking, and other performance-heavy workloads.
The RTX 5060 also brings NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture, fourth-generation ray tracing cores, and fifth-generation Tensor Cores into the mix. Together, these features deliver more advanced graphics and AI capabilities for supported games and apps.
The display is another highlight, with a 15-inch 2K IPS panel, 1920 x 1200 resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, and a 91% screen-to-body ratio. Its high refresh rate can make quick movements look smoother in competitive games, while the IPS panel provides wider viewing angles and better color accuracy.
This configuration includes 16GB of RAM, providing enough memory for modern games, everyday multitasking, and background apps without making everything feel sluggish. Pair that with the 1TB SSD, and you get faster load times plus plenty of room for a decent library of large games, apps, and media.
HP has also tried to take some of the work out of game optimization. The laptop features the brand’s OMEN AI, which provides personalized settings recommendations designed to maximize FPS. This can help if you’d rather start playing than spend time tweaking graphics settings.
More experienced users can go the other way with OMEN Unleashed Mode, which provides manual overclocking controls to squeeze more performance from the machine. Plus, you get two months of Xbox Game Pass Premium out of the box, giving you a library of games to explore once you get everything set up.
All that power needs proper cooling, and HP has paid close attention to airflow. The laptop features dual side fans, enlarged vents, and additional bottom ventilation to move heat away from the hardware. It also comes with HP’s OMEN Fan Cleaner, which helps reduce dust buildup and cut down on maintenance over time.
At $1,249, the HP HyperX OMEN 15 saves you $650 while packing the hardware and display you’d expect from a serious gaming machine. The RTX 5060 graphics, Core Ultra 7 processor, 165Hz screen, 16GB RAM, and 1TB storage make it particularly appealing for anyone who wants plenty of power without paying the original nearly $2,000 price.
