Your Steam library probably has a few games you’ve been meaning to play, but your current laptop might not be up to the task. The HP HyperX OMEN 15 gaming laptop is down from $1,899 to $1,199 at Walmart, saving you $700.
For that price, you’re getting an AMD Ryzen 7 processor, NVIDIA RTX 5060 graphics, and a 165Hz display. The laptop also includes tools to adjust game settings and manage cooling, so you spend less time tweaking it and more time playing.
Why Choose the HP HyperX OMEN 15?
The HyperX OMEN 15 runs on an AMD Ryzen 7 8745HX processor paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics. This combination delivers the processing power you need for modern games, streaming, and demanding everyday tasks.
The RTX 5060 also supports ray tracing for more realistic lighting and AI-powered graphics features in compatible games. Combined with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, it offers enough power and storage for games, apps, and other files.
On the display side, you get a 15-inch screen with a 165Hz refresh rate, ensuring that fast-moving games look smoother. The IPS panel offers wider viewing angles, while the 1920 x 1200 resolution gives you more vertical screen space than a standard 1080p display.
You get dual side fans, larger vents, and additional ventilation underneath the laptop to help move warm air away from its components. The laptop also features HP’s OMEN Fan Cleaner, which helps reduce dust buildup and makes routine maintenance easier.
Another feature you’ll likely find useful is OMEN AI, which recommends game settings to improve frame rates without requiring you to adjust everything manually. And if you prefer more control, OMEN Unleashed Mode lets you adjust performance settings and manually overclock supported hardware. So, whether you’re a casual player or a more experienced gamer, it gives you ways to get the performance you want.
You can customize the laptop’s lighting with different effects and also enjoy spatial 3D audio in supported games and movies. And even better, the laptop includes two months of Xbox Game Pass Premium, giving you access to a huge library of games for free.
At $1,199, the HP HyperX OMEN 15 offers a solid combination of gaming performance, storage, and useful software features. If you’ve been looking for a laptop for gaming, school, or everyday work, Walmart’s $700 discount makes it worth considering.
