Alongside the announcement of their new OnePlus 9 series, is OnePlus’ first connected wearable, the OnePlus Watch. Fortunately, the design doesn’t venture too far away from the design of a traditional watch with its circular face but it does carry the modern conveniences of a smartwatch.
The OnePlus Watch offers typical wearable features such as viewing and responding to notifications through the watch, making or answering phone calls, playing music, taking photos, and more. It has an internal storage of 4GB (2GB for actual use) and can accommodate over 500 songs. It can also connect to most Bluetooth wireless earbuds so you can listen to your music phone-free. Users who own an OnePlus TV will also be able to control it using the watch.
With a 400mAh battery, OnePlus says the watch can last well up to a week even for the most active users. Charging for 5 minutes can give users a full day’s use while charging for 20 minutes can make the watch last a whole week.
Additional features include a 5ATM + 1P60 water and dust resistance rating, 110+ built-in workout categories, automatic workout detection for jogging and running, customizable performance metrics, built-in GPS, rapid heart rate alerts, stress detection, and more. Last but not least, the OnePlus Watch does work with iOS.
The OnePlus Watch will be available in Midnight Black starting April 14th. It will retail for $159 with a 1GB+4GB configuration.
