The Tecno POVA 6 Pro 5G has been unveiled at MWC 2024 and it’s all about offering a powerful mobile gaming experience, alongside a truly unique design that rocks 101 LED lighting effects. But perhaps the most unbelievable aspect of this device is how much it offers for such a low price.
The device boasts a striking futuristic appearance, emphasizing its focus on gaming. The phone comes in two color options, “Comet Green” and “Meteorite Grey,” both featuring a futuristic light streak finish. Tecno claims these colors and styling “capture the strength and stylish futurism of the POVA series.”
The Tecno POVA 6 Pro 5G is thin, measuring just 7.88mm in thickness. Taking inspiration from the Nothing Phone playbook, this device features a customization feature on the back called “Dynamic-Eye Design,” which seems to be Tecno’s take on Nothing’s glyph design.
The Dynamic-Eye design is powered by 210 single-point controlled MiniLEDs, creating futuristic ring-shaped and propeller-shaped lighting effects. Users can customize these for notifications, calls, power status, gaming, and more.
The Tecno POVA 6 Pro 5G boasts a 120Hz 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification to protect the user’s eyes. Powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 5G processor, it features an impressive 24GB RAM to meet the performance demands of mobile gamers. Notably, the Tecno POVA 6 Pro 5G incorporates a SuperCooled System with a “cooling area of 27342mm.”
Other features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, a 108MP main camera, and a 32MP front camera. The latest Tecno HiOS 14 brings gaming features like Game Space 4.0, Game Assistant 4.0, and Infrared Remote Control to the device.
Dolby Atmos makes its debut on Tecno devices with the Tecno POVA 6 Pro 5G, promising an enhanced audio experience.
A gaming phone’s value is tied to its battery performance, and the Tecno POVA 6 Pro 5G should deliver since it comes with a robust 6000mAh battery alongside speedy 70W charging. According to Tecno data, this device can charge from 0%-100% in just 50 minutes, and it features 10W reverse charging, allowing users to charge other small devices with their Tecno POVA 6 Pro 5G.
Tecno promises up to 11 hours of gaming, 14 hours of video streaming, and 31 hours of calling. The Tecno POVA 6 Pro 5G is equipped with STS Secure Battery Technology for secure charging, a Bypass Charge feature preventing overheating, and a Charging Water Detection feature alerting users when moisture is detected.

Pricing for the Tecno Pova 6 Pro starts at just $229. The phone is expected to launch in the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, and India starting this month, followed by launches in Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.
