The Double Cheesy Gordita Crunch has officially returned to the Taco Bell menu at participating restaurants across the country.
The Double Cheesy Gordita Crunch is an upgraded version of the fast food chain’s regular Cheesy Gordita Crunch. It features a crunchy taco shell filled with seasoned beef, lettuce, cheddar cheese, and spicy ranch sauce all blanketed in a warm flatbread with a melted three cheese blend and a second helping of seasoned beef.
The Double Cheesy Gordita Crunch is available à la carte for $3.49. It’s also available as part of a $5 box deal that includes two Crunchy Tacos and a medium drink. Both menu items will only be available through the beginning of March.
According to Thrillist, this is the third time the Double Cheesy Gordita Crunch has returned to Taco Bell menu since it was introduced in the summer of 2018. Its latest comeback comes one week after Taco Bell brought back its Nacho Fries, which sells at $1.29 per serving.
In related news, Taco Bell is testing a couple of new items in select cities. In Cleveland, the fast food chain is testing the new Double Steak Melt Deluxe, which is a flatbread stuffed with double helping of steak and the restaurant’s three-cheese blend. It sells for $3.49 on its own, but can also be bought as part of $7 box deal that includes Nacho Fries, two Crunchy Tacos, and a medium drink.
Meanwhile, in Detroit, Taco Bell is testing the new Steak Firecracker Fries, which is basically seasoned Nacho Fries topped with grilled marinated steak, nacho cheese sauce, red tortilla strips, cheddar cheese, reduced-fat sour cream, sliced jalapenos, and new Firecracker sauce. According to Taco Bell, the Firecracker sauce features “a blend of spicy peppers.”
The Steak Firecracker Fries sells for $3.49 per order, but customers can have them wrapped up in a warm flour tortilla as a burrito for only $2.99.
