Filming for the Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi is currently underway, and while Lucasfilm and Disney have yet to release official photos and footage from the show, leaked pictures from the set have given fans their first look at Ewan McGregor as the titular character, over 15 years after he last played the role.

During a virtual interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live last month, McGregor revealed that his Obi-Wan Kenobi costume is “slightly different” from his past outfits in the space opera franchise. And while McGregor is covered up with a black robe in the set photos that surfaced on social media, fans can get some little peeks at his costume underneath. Take a look at some of the leaked set pictures in the tweet below:

First announced at the D23 Expo last August, Obi-Wan Kenobi is described as a special event series. It is set 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, where Obi-Wan faced his greatest defeat: the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who became the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

Hayden Christensen will be back as Anakin, with Star Wars alums Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse reprising their roles as Owen Lars and Beru Lars, respectively. The series will also feature performances from franchise newcomers Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Maya Erskine, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.

Though plot details are being kept under wraps, set photos, which hit the Internet last April, suggest that Obi-Wan will run into Luke Skywalker’s guardians, Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, at some point during the series.

The pictures in the tweet below show a building that looks like the structures found on the desert planet Tatooine. Though it could be part of a recreation of the Mos Eisley spaceport or another settlement on Tatooine, the confirmed appearances of Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru in the series has fans speculating that it is the Lars moisture farm where Luke spent his youth.

The six-episode Obi-Wan Kenobi series doesn’t have an exact release date yet, but is scheduled to arrive on Disney+ sometime in 2022.
