Samsung has unveiled its newest Chromebooks, the Chromebook 4 and 4+, and both look to be surprisingly good values on paper. To that effect, the new releases boast faster performance and increased battery life, and they both cost $299 and under.
Packing in 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage, the Chromebook 4 runs on an Intel Celeron Processor N4000. It also offers an impressive 12.5 hours of battery life, an 11.6-inch HD screen, and a lightweight design. While slightly heavier, the Chromebook 4+ comes with a much larger 15.6-inch FHD display and it boasts 10.5 hours of battery life.

Samsung Senior Vice President and General Manager Alanna Cotton, spoke about how the technology giant focused on improving the features that customers loved with the previous editions of the device. She noted:
“The Samsung Chromebook 4 line is a testament to what can be achieved when you’re focused on pushing the boundaries of convenience and value for computers. Given the tremendous response to the Chromebook 3, we worked hard to maintain the features our consumers loved, while still making great strides in design, performance, and user experience with the Chromebook 4 and 4+.”
Samsung has also improved the Chromebooks’ durability and longevity, including its temperature-resistance and damage-resistance. As a result, Samsung says that the new Chromebook 4 and 4+ pass eight military-grade standards.
The Samsung Chromebook 4 and Chromebook 4+ are now available for purchase, and they retail for $279.99 and $299.99, respectively.
