Red Robin Reports Highest Guest Satisfaction in Nearly a Decade
Twenty months after launching its North Star plan, Red Robin reported significant strides in guest satisfaction scores in Q2 2024. This increase has brought the chain’s satisfaction levels to their highest point since 2016.
Overall dine-in guest satisfaction rates rose by 6%, while Black Box social net sentiment scores improved by 17%. Additionally, negative guest complaints have reached an all-time low, decreasing by 29% compared to the same quarter last year, according to CEO G.J. Hart during an August earnings call, as reported by Restaurant Dive.
These improvements are the direct result of several initiatives implemented as part of the North Star plan. Launched in late 2022 and formally announced in early 2023, the North Star plan is a multi-point strategy designed to drive long-term shareholder value and enhance the company’s competitive position within the casual dining industry. The plan addresses key areas such as operational focus, guest experience enhancement, cost reduction, guest engagement optimization, and profitability.
