It’s better late than never. A month and a half after the fall season started, Wendy’s is quietly rolling out a late-fall lineup that includes a new Salted Caramel Frosty, an improved version of its fan-favorite Taco Salad, and a new mushroom bacon cheeseburger. Read on to discover more about these exciting additions to Wendy’s menu and why they might just become your new fall favorites.
Wendy’s Late-Fall Offerings
Debuting at all participating Wendy’s locations in the United States starting November 12th, here are the fast-food chain’s three late-fall offerings, along with their respective product descriptions:
Salted Caramel Frosty
Wendy’s new Salted Caramel Frosty offers a comforting twist on the classic Frosty. This seasonal treat blends the smooth and creamy vanilla Frosty base with the rich, sweet flavor of salted caramel. The result is a deliciously indulgent dessert that combines sweetness with a subtle salty kick, perfect for the colder months. Fans of the Frosty can expect this new flavor to provide a warm and satisfying experience with each spoonful.
New Version of Taco Salad
Wendy’s improved Taco Salad for the fall season features several upgrades to its original version. While the iconic chili remains a key ingredient, the new version is enhanced with a zesty, creamy salsa dressing that ties the flavors together. Additionally, fire-roasted corn and crispy tortilla strips have been added, offering a smokier, crunchier texture compared to the original’s use of plain tortilla chips and sour cream. This revamped version brings a fresh twist to a long-time favorite, making it more flavorful and satisfying than ever.
Mushroom Bacon Cheeseburger
Wendy’s limited-time Mushroom Bacon Cheeseburger features the brand’s signature fresh, never-frozen square patty, topped with roasted mushrooms, crispy bacon, Muenster cheese, and a creamy garlic spread. While this new offering shares a similar base with Wendy’s previous Smoky Mushroom Bacon Cheeseburger, it introduces some key differences. Unlike the earlier version, which boasted smoky roasted mushrooms, crispy onions, Asiago cheese, and bacon, the new burger swaps in a creamy garlic spread, changes the seasoning of the mushrooms, and replaces the Asiago with Muenster cheese. This variation provides a rich, creamy twist while keeping the signature savory flavors Wendy’s fans love.
According to All Recipes, Wendy’s wasn’t able to do a traditional launch for its fall menu because the chain prioritized its SpongeBob SquarePants collaboration for the Krabby Patty meal, which was introduced in October.

What does Wendy’s Bacon Mushroom Cheeseburger taste like?
Bailey Fink of All Recipes, who has tried Wendy’s Bacon Mushroom Cheeseburger praised the new menu item’s savory depth of flavor and unique texture. She particularly loved the combination of roasted mushrooms and crispy bacon, but according to her, the real stars of the burger were the creamy garlic spread and the unexpected choice of Muenster cheese.
Fink also noted that the garlic spread added a bold flavor without overpowering the other ingredients, while the Muenster cheese offered a melty, nutty flavor that complemented the mushrooms perfectly. She concluded her review by comparing the burger to a sports bar offering, highlighting its indulgent taste and affordable price point.
