Poco has just launched its newest entry-level phone, the Poco M3. With an impressive spec sheet and an attractive price tag, the company continues its legacy of releasing high bang-for-your-buck smartphones.
The Poco M3 is also the device that debuts Poco’s global M-series and marks the company’s first in a brand new category. Keeping things simple, the Poco M3 sports a plain color design with an anti-fingerprint textured back matched with a rather large rectangular frame that houses its three cameras. It comes in three colors: Cool Blue, Poco Yellow, and Power Black.
Around the front is a 6.53-inch FHD+ Dot Drop display that’s capable of 2340×1080 resolution. The edge-to-edge screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and is also TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certified for protecting eye health. It’s also L1 Widevine certified which means you can enjoy HD content on Netflix. For speakers, it houses a dual speaker system with a dust blaster to offer a truly enjoyable entertainment experience. Should you not want to use the speakers, the Poco M3 still does come with a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired peripherals. Additionally, it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and dual SIM card slots.
Powering the phone on the inside is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor paired with an Adreno 610 GPU and octa-core CPU. It offers 4GB of RAM and internal storage of up to 128GB which is expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card.
The Poco M3 is equipped with a triple camera system consisting of a 48-megapixel main, 2-megapixel macro, and 2-megapixel depth. For selfies, it offers an 8-megapixel camera on the front.
The Poco M3 boasts of having the largest battery in its class at 6,000mAh! Poco says that the phone should last users over 5 days with light usage and about 3 days of moderate use. And if you’ve forgotten your power bank, it also offers reverse wireless charging. Poco also prides itself in saying that users will not feel noticeable battery degradation for at least 2 years.
It also supports 18W fast charge and comes with a 22.5W charger in the box.
The Poco M3 is expected to be available starting November 27th with an early bird price of just $129 for the 4GB+64GB variant and $149 for 4GB+128GB variant. Regular retail prices are at $149 and $169 respectively.
The Poco M3 can be purchased at Alixpress for $138.99 for the 64GB storage model or for $158.99 for the 128GB storage model.
