Pizza Hut is celebrating the Halloween season with a spook-tacular collaboration with Shudder, the original and leading horror streaming service in the U.S.
Starting October 26th through October 30th, up to 200,000 fans can get a special 30-day free trial to Shudder, courtesy of Pizza Hut. The free trial can be redeemed by going to Shudder.com to sign up and entering the promo code STUFFEDCRUST in the field provided.
As part of the Pizza Hut and Shudder collaboration, subscribers of the streamer will gain access to an early debut of the second episode of Shudder’s Behind the Monsters original series during the Pizza Hut Originals Takeover on Shudder TV, a block of expertly curated content that will run on October 27th from 8 p.m. ET to 12:30 a.m. ET of the other day. The takeover’s full schedule is as follows:
- Behind the Monsters episode 1 (Michael Myers)
- Sneak peek of Behind the Monsters episode 2 (Candyman)
- Original film double feature: 1978’s Halloween and 1968’s Night of the Living Dead
In addition to its collaboration with Shudder, Pizza Hut is also offering its iconic Original Stuffed Crust Pizza for just $12.99 as part of the fast food chain’s Halloween festivities. Beginning October 26th, fans can get their hands on a large, one-topping Original Stuffed Crust Pizza at the said discounted price at participating Pizza Hut locations across the country for a limited time.
“Halloween is a big day for us. In fact, it’s one of our top five busiest days of the year,” said Lindsay Morgan, Pizza Hut chief marketing officer, in a statement. “We knew we had to do something fun for our customers and what’s a better treat than a deal on one of our most iconic pizzas and the excuse to binge spooky movies to your hearts delight on Shudder? It’s the perfect pairing.”
Shudder general manager Craig Engler added: “There’s no combo quite like pizza and a scary movie so it made perfect sense to team up on a special treat for our members and pizza lovers alike. Thanks to Pizza Hut, we can all ‘skip to the good stuff’ with an Original Stuffed Crust Pizza and a new episode of the Shudder Original Series Behind the Monsters a full week early.”
