Oppo just announced they’re bringing the Find X9 Series to global markets on October 28th, and honestly? It’s about time. This flagship series has been making waves in China for years with its photography prowess, and every year we lament how it needs to be released globally.

The standout here is that 200MP Hasselblad Telephoto on the Find X9 Pro. Before you roll your eyes at another megapixel war, this isn’t just marketing fluff–Oppo and Hasselblad co-developed this sensor with proper optical calibration. That’s the kind of partnership that actually means something. So much so that we called its predecessor, the Find X8, the best phone you can’t buy in the US.

Both Find X9 series phones also shoot 4K 120fps in Dolby Vision and support LOG recording with ACES. SO f you’re serious about video, these phones can slot into professional workflows that would make iPhone users jealous.

MediaTek Dimensity 9500 powers both devices but the real story is battery life. The Find X9 packs 7,025mAh while the Pro bumps up to 7,500mAh. For context, that’s nearly double what you get in an iPhone 16 Pro Max. Oppo claims two days of usage, and we believe it.

Display-wise, you get 6.59 inches on the standard model and 6.78 inches on the Pro, both with ridiculously thin 1.15mm bezels

The matte glass finish with aluminum frame looks genuinely premium without trying too hard. Color options include Titanium Grey, Space Black, and Velvet Red for the standard model, while the Pro gets Silk White and Titanium Charcoal. The look is clean and elegant.

Here’s what I’m watching: will Oppo actually commit to competing in global markets this time? They’ve got the hardware to go toe-to-toe with Samsung and Apple, especially in photography. The question is pricing and availability.

If Oppo releases the Find X9 series globally and can manage to undercut the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s price while delivering superior camera performance, Samsung should be worried. After years of watching impressive Chinese phones stay locked to domestic markets, it’ll be refreshing to finally test what Oppo’s been perfecting.

The Oppo Find X9 launch is slated for October 28th. If you’re tired of the same old Samsung-Apple duopoly and care about photography, this one’s worth watching. Sometimes the best camera phone doesn’t come from Cupertino or Seoul – sometimes it comes from a company that’s been quietly perfecting the art while everyone else was distracted.
