The OnePlus 11 x Genshin Impact collectible has been unveiled by OnePlus and the renowned multi-player online role-playing game, Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact has a substantial player base of over 660,000 players worldwide and is widely recognized globally for its anime-inspired characters and environment. Leveraging the game’s popularity, OnePlus is launching a collectible version of the OnePlus 11 5G.
The OnePlus 11 x Genshin Impact collaboration introduces a standard OnePlus 11, packaged in a custom box inspired by elements from Genshin Impact. The custom box draws inspiration from the in-game character, Xiangling, who is the head chef at “Wanmin Restaurant” within the game, and her companion, Guoba.
OnePlus selected Xiangling and Guoba as the IP for this collaboration due to Xiangling’s strength in the game and her adorable character design. For our readers who are not familiar with Genshin Impact, Xiangling is a Chef De Cuisine (a strong cooking expertise) who possesses Pyro power (which is associated with fire and the power to use flames).
Cooking plays a vital role in Genshin Impact as it boosts stamina and heals characters, aiding in battles and progression, and Pyro power inflicts greater damage on enemies. These qualities contribute to Xiangling’s reputation as one of the strongest characters in the game.
Genshin Impact fans who purchase the OnePlus 11 x Genshin Impact collectible will receive their device in a custom box reminiscent of traditional bento boxes. The box incorporates various elements from the game, including the color red representing Xiangling’s Pyro element, a lock featuring Xiangling’s personal pattern, and an interior modeled after Liyue Harbor, where Xiangling’s store is located within the game.
OnePlus has shared photos showcasing two drawers inside the box containing collectible OnePlus 11 x Genshin Impact merchandise and the OnePlus 11 5G smartphone. The merchandise includes stickers, custom cards, and an instruction booklet that houses a Guoba-inspired sim-ejector pin.
That said, the promotional photos depict a regular OnePlus 11 device in Titan black without any Genshin Impact branding, which is a bit disappointing since we’ve seen other anime-branded phone collabs where the device itself was branded in the style of the anime. Case in point, realme’s GT NEO 3 Naruto Edition.
Additionally, OnePlus emphasized the graphics and processing capabilities of the OnePlus 11 5G, highlighting its ability to deliver a smooth gaming experience for Genshin Impact fans. This indicates OnePlus’ desire for Genshin Impact enthusiasts to actively use the phones rather than storing them as collectors’ items.
